Sugaring vs Waxing
Which Is Right for You?
Both sugaring and waxing remove hair from the root — but the experience, ingredients, and skin benefits are a bit different.
Sugaring is environmentally friendly method of hair removal, made from just three ingredients: sugar, water, and lemon. The paste is applied at body temperature and removed in the direction of hair growth, making it gentle for sensitive skin and great for those prone to irritation or ingrowns. It also naturally exfoliates and can lead to finer, sparser regrowth over time.
Waxing tends to be a more common and somewhat quicker process — especially for clients newer to professional hair removal. Made from natural and synthetic resins, it’s slightly stronger in grip than sugar paste and is applied warm to the skin. Hard or soft wax could be ideal if you’re used to traditional waxing or have especially stubborn hair.
